FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions – Little Tesla Pediatric Therapy
1. What services do you offer?
We provide a full range of pediatric therapies under one roof:
ABA, Speech, Occupational, Physical, Feeding, INPP (Primitive Reflex Integration), Group, and Virtual Therapy.
Our team works collaboratively to ensure your child’s plan is coordinated, effective, and family-centered.
2. Do you have a waitlist?
No. Little Tesla proudly operates with a no-waitlist policy for selected services.
Once your intake and insurance verification are complete, your child can start therapy right away - because every day matters in development.
3. What ages do you serve?
We work with children from infancy through adolescence (0–18 years).
Therapy plans are tailored to your child’s developmental level, not just their age.
4. Do you accept my insurance?
Most likely, yes. We accept:
Step-Up For Students Scholarship, Web TPA, Evolutions Healthcare Systems, Cigna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CMS, Sunshine Health, Health Network One, Tricare.
Our billing team verifies coverage before your first appointment and explains all costs transparently.
5. How do I start therapy?
It’s easy:
- Contact us by phone, email, or through our online form.
- We’ll collect information and verify insurance.
- Your child receives an evaluation with a licensed therapist.
- We review the results together and schedule therapy right away.
6. What happens at the first visit?
Your child will meet their therapist, explore the environment, and participate in a play-based assessment.
We’ll talk about your goals, answer questions, and outline the next steps - all in a calm, welcoming setting.
7. Can parents stay during sessions?
Absolutely. We encourage parent participation whenever possible.
You’ll also receive home strategies and updates after each session to reinforce progress outside the clinic.
8. Do you provide therapy at home or school?
Yes. In addition to in-clinic sessions, we offer in-home and virtual therapy options.
Some programs also include community-based sessions (e.g., playgrounds, classrooms) to help children generalize new skills.
9. What is the difference between ABA, OT, and Speech Therapy?
- ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) focuses on behavior, learning, and social skills.
- Occupational Therapy (OT) develops fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills.
- Speech Therapy (SLP) improves communication, language, and feeding abilities.
Our interdisciplinary model ensures all these therapies work together toward common goals.
10. Do you work with children who don’t have an autism diagnosis?
Yes. While many of our clients are on the autism spectrum, we also serve children with speech delays, sensory challenges, ADHD, motor difficulties, or developmental delays - and those simply needing extra support to reach milestones.
11. What qualifications do your therapists have?
All our clinicians are state-licensed and nationally certified, including BCBAs, RBTs, SLPs, OTs, PTs, and Feeding Specialists.
We also provide continuous training, mentorship, and supervision to maintain clinical excellence.
12. How long will my child need therapy?
It depends on your child’s goals, progress, and therapy intensity.
Your therapist will review progress regularly and adjust the plan as your child develops new skills.
13. Do you offer multilingual therapy?
Yes. Our team includes English- and Spanish-speaking therapists who ensure families feel comfortable, informed, and supported in their preferred language.
14. Is telehealth as effective as in-person sessions?
Yes! Our Virtual Therapy program uses interactive, play-based methods proven to engage children effectively online.
It’s ideal for speech therapy, parent coaching, and continuity of care between in-person visits.
